The role of these dogs is one of detecting the presence of drugs in the area that you want searching. It may be a room, corridor, vehicle, field etc either internal or external.

The dog works to the command of the handler and will indicate the presence of drugs by sitting at the point of indication. The handler will then notify the appropriate company official. All handlers have been facilitated in interpersonal skills.

Pro-active drug dogs are trained to detect the following :

  • Cannabis Resin & Herbal

  • Heroin

  • Cocaine

  • Amphetamine

  • Ecstasy (MDMA)

  • Firearms

  • Ammunition

  • All derivatives of the above substances

These pro active dogs are suited to all locations from a small room to a shopping centre complex
